Dennis arrived in July. We already have a dog, a nine-year-old miniature Schnauzer called Bertie, but we haven't had a cat in years. We picked Dennis (then called Sam) from a roomful of cats in a rescue centre, because he purred the loudest - we'd gone intending to choose a small, black lady cat, and ended up with a ginger & white tom. He is enormous, always hungry, and always around - having had cats in the past who would leave for the day after breakfast and not come back till dinner, this is much appreciated.

Photo of Bertie to follow - he gets a bit overexcited when he hears the artificial shutter noise of the camera, so he isn't the most photogenic of dogs.
